The crew will stay at the station for about six months and conduct dozens of scientific and applied experiments. One crew member will remain in orbit for a full year to study the limits of human adaptation and performance during long-duration spaceflight.

After issuing warnings, police moved in with batons. By 7 PM, the area was calm. Some people were detained.

The union confederation's secretary general, Tiago Oliveira, denied that unions were involved in the clashes and blamed "groups that embed themselves in CGTP demonstrations," stressing that protests across the country were peaceful.
