On June 23, in Paris, Crown Prince of Iran Reza Pahlavi addressed the Iranian people. He announced initiatives aimed at a peaceful transition to democracy in Iran: implementing a secure communication channel for members of the Iranian security forces willing to join the opposition; organizing a summit for Iranian activists, politicians, and business leaders to agree on a transition plan; and developing an economic roadmap for restructuring Iran. “Do not throw this regime a lifeline,” he also urged the international community.

The Kremlin’s actions amount to demographic warfare, and international law and diplomacy have so far failed to establish an effective mechanism to bring these children home.
