Gloria Funicular crash in Lisbon. Deportation of Russians from Finland. Putin plans to live forever.

The Gloria Funicular is one of the most recognizable symbols of Lisbon. Opened on October 24, 1885 by engineer Raoul Mesnier du Ponsard, it has a national-monument status since February 2002. Its route connects Restauradores Square with the São Pedro de Alcântara Garden. This city symbol has made life easier in the “city of seven hills” for almost 140 years, helping about 3 million passengers a year cover 265 meters at a 17% slope.
