The Center for Analysis and Strategies in Europe (CASE) has published a review of Russian emigrants in the European Union, based on research by the Cyprus University of Nicosia. The study reveals that 82% of Russians who left after February 2022 have higher education or academic degrees, and 74% clearly condemn Vladimir Putin’s policies. The report argues that the exodus of educated citizens from Russia is as impactful as Western economic sanctions and highlights the positive effects on the economies of host countries like Cyprus.
