On Aug. 21, the Free Azat support group reported that the French journal "Revue de la filière mathématiques" had published an article by political prisoner Azat Miftakhov, "Chui's Conjecture in a Hilbert Space," in its June-August issue. The problem was given to him by Bernard Randé, a French mathematician and the journal's editor-in-chief. Azat worked on it for about four months in prison, without internet access or academic books.
