Esta semana assistimos a mais um exemplo da utilidade da união de forças. O cônsul russo na Tailandia tentou influenciar as autoridades tailandesas para extraditarem para a Rússia os membros da banda de rock Bi-2, que apoia as forças armadas ucranianas. Os músicos foram ajudados por activistas da oposição russa, figuras culturais, advogados e diplomatas oriundos de Israel, da Austrália, da América e de outros países. Nós também ajudámos a atrair a atenção do público. No dia 31 de janeiro, Boris Nadezhdin, candidato à presidência russa, apresentou à Comissão Electoral Central russa (CEC) as melhores 105 mil das mais de 200 mil assinaturas recolhidas. Houve também uma recolha de assinaturas em Lisboa e no Porto, que nós apoiámos com divulgação de informação e com os nossos passaportes. Não devemos ficar desiludidos com o facto de não terem sido apresentadas assinaturas recolhidas no estrangeiro. A tarefa da CEC não é cumprir a lei, mas sim eliminar os candidatos que Putin não quer, e ele usará qualquer passo em falso.
Se nos lembrarmos dos 24 anos de governo de Vladimir Putin, bem como das eleições presidenciais de 2020 na Belarús, é evidente que Putin não vai abdicar do poder. Porém, é inútil esperar ganhar uma eleição em que os votos são contados pelos criminosos no poder. O principal objetivo da campanha para as próximas pseudo-eleições é deslegitimar o regime.

This week we saw another example of the benefits of uniting efforts. The Russian consul tried to influence the authorities of Thailand to achieve the extradition to Russia of members of the rock band Bi-2 who support the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Russian oppositionists, cultural figures, lawyers, as well as diplomats from Israel, Australia, America, and other countries helped the musicians. We also helped to draw public attention.
