No dia 4 de julho, a CNN World publicou um artigo que revela que em outubro de 2023 o Presidente da Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, prometeu realizar eleições justas após negociações com o Departamento de Estado dos EUA.
Contudo, a candidata da oposição, Maria Corina Machado, e a sua substituta, Corina Joris, foram posteriormente excluídas das eleições. Agora, concorre outro candidato da oposição, Edmundo Gonzalez, que está à frente de Maduro por mais de vinte por cento nas sondagens.Os protestos da oposição na Venezuela têm sido repetidamente reprimidos, há centenas de presos políticos e 7 milhões de pessoas deixaram o país nos últimos 10 anos. Alguns países estão a tentar limitar a imigração, deixando de emitir documentos e construindo vedações. Contudo, muitos venezuelanos que partiram sonham em regressar a casa, se a oposição chegar ao poder.

Alarming events are taking place in Croatia. Vladislav Arinichev, an anti-war activist from Russia, has been in a deportation prison in Croatia for over a week under threat of deportation and subsequent ban on entry into the European Union.

In Russia, Vladislav spoke out against the war with Ukraine and recorded an anti-war video, because of which a criminal case was opened against him under the article "Justification of terrorism", he was arrested in absentia and added to the list of terrorists and extremists. As a protest against such justifications for denial of international protection, as well as against the unfair, from Vladislav's point of view, numerous refusals to other refugees, Vladislav went to a picket in the center of Zagreb. The obscene inscription on Vladislav's T-shirt addressed to the Croatian security service, which deals with deportations, did draw attention to the problem, but it was offensive. Vladislav was arrested, served administrative arrest and then transferred to a deportation prison. It is possible that the deportation will be to Russia.
