A 15 de março, foi publicada no canal de YouTube «Disclosedlive» uma entrevista com os agricultores Svetlana Panina e o seu marido. Svetlana contou que foi imposta uma quarentena na aldeia, falaram em pasteurelose, vacinaram contra a febre aftosa, sem sequer mostrarem os resultados das análises. Panina afirma que, na sua ausência, veterinários e agentes das forças de segurança entraram na sua propriedade e abateram todo o seu gado: 40 vacas, 150 ovelhas, bem como cabras, camelos e porcos. Ela considera que os animais estavam saudáveis e que as ações das autoridades foram ilegais. Vejam, isto parece uma série de «Arquivo X».

A 13 de março, segundo a filha de uma veterinária da aldeia de «Novopichugovo», a sua mãe foi despedida com a justificação de «inaptidão profissional» por se ter sentido mal quando lhe comunicaram que tinha de ir à quinta abater o gado.

A 13 de março, a publicação «Observador» noticiou que cientistas portugueses estão a instalar o telescópio solar POET no deserto chileno de Atacama. Este deverá ajudar a estudar melhor o Sol, as estrelas e os exoplanetas. O telescópio foi desenvolvido por uma equipa do Instituto de Astrofísica e Ciências do Espaço, com a participação de especialistas das universidades de Lisboa e do Porto.

A 18 de março, a publicação «TEK Notícias» noticiou que Portugal está a preparar um conjunto de 12 satélites LUSÍADA para melhorar as comunicações marítimas e aumentar a segurança da navegação. Estes irão funcionar com o novo sistema VDES, que deverá aliviar o AIS, que está a tornar-se obsoleto e é menos seguro.

Svetlana said that a quarantine had been imposed in the village; they talked about pasteurellosis, vaccinated against foot-and-mouth disease, and did not even show them the test results. Panina claims that, in her absence, veterinarians and security forces entered her property and slaughtered all her livestock: 40 cows, 150 sheep, goats, camels, and pigs. She believes the animals were healthy and that the authorities' actions were illegal. Watch, it sounds like an episode of "The X-Files."

On March 13, Observador reported that Portuguese scientists are installing the POET solar telescope in Chile's Atacama Desert. It should help them better study the Sun, stars, and exoplanets. The telescope was developed by a team from the Institute of Astrophysics and Space Sciences, together with specialists from the universities of Lisbon and Porto.

On March 18, TEK Notícias reported that Portugal is preparing a constellation of 12 LUSÍADA satellites to improve maritime communications and enhance shipping safety. They will operate using the new VDES system, which should reduce the load on the aging and less secure AIS.
