🙋 41th Weekly protest
They finished off the opposition in Russia and started eating themselves. Interview with a mobilized soldier's wife: there's hope for enlightenment.
You're watching news from the weekly protest at the Russian Embassy in Lisbon. Today is January 13, 14:30.
Concert cancellations continue, along with administrative and criminal cases against artists who thought they were safe because they weren't oppositionists. Those caught up in the repression include participants in Anastasia Ivleeva's "almost naked" party: Philipp Kirkorov, Lolita Milyavskaya, rapper Vacio, and even the owner of the club where it was held. Neither apologies nor the relics of Saint Nicholas, which were gifted to a church, helped them.
Serbian sniper and Putin's confidant for the upcoming elections, Dejan Beric, posted a video on his VKontakte page. In it, he said that the Russian command provided almost no support to Serbian mercenaries and sent them into an assault before New Year, claiming they could capture the necessary weapons in battle. When they refused, they were beaten by the military police.
On January 11, an interview was released on Alexander Plyuschev's channel with the press secretary of the Telegram channel "The Way Home," Paulina. She is 20 years old, has a one-and-a-half-year-old daughter, and her husband was mobilized in October 2022. At that time, her daughter was 3 months old, and they hoped he wouldn't have to go to war. But as a law-abiding citizen, he went the military enlistment office. According to her, all documents provided for deferment were not considered.

She was raised in a religious family and therefore believed that all authority is from God and must be accepted as such. She began fighting for her husband's return when collapsed the myth that mobilized soldiers wouldn't be on the frontlines and would return within six months. She states: "Those who want to fight should send their children and contract army, but don't use civilians."
According to her, most wives of mobilized soldiers are against the war. But she chooses the path of dialogue with the authorities because she has a young child, and a girl of her age who shouted "no to war" last year is now in prison.
Paulina still believes in the existence of courts and independent media in Russia, and hopes to negotiate with the state. She's already faced bans on protests and the lack of attention from central TV channels. She has many revelations yet to come.
We condemn all who support and participate in the aggressive war that Russia is waging in Ukraine. The more people realize that Putin and his authorities are lying to them, including through channels posing as independent on the internet, the faster this power will fall.
On January 21 at 14:00 in Lisbon at Praça dos Restauradores, there will be a rally "Russia without Putin and Putinism". A similar protest is also being organized in Porto. This is part of a larger campaign against Putin, working towards the common goal of the Russian opposition.
Join us! Let's together hasten the day when Putin is no more!
