Political prisoners of the Putin regime were also able to take part in it: we read letters that they wrote especially for this action.
Why is this important: the crimes of the Stalinist regime must not be forgotten.
In Soviet Russia, all those who disagreed with the regime were mass exterminated or resettled to the GULAG. From 1937 to 1938, during the Great Terror, almost 700 thousand people were shot.
Insufficient dissemination of this information allowed a new tyranny to grow in Russia. We must remember and bring war criminals to justice as a warning to future generations. We must also support people who, while fighting the regime, fell into its clutches. We are talking about political prisoners.
Since 1974, October 30 has been celebrated as Political Prisoner's Day. On this day, a one-day hunger strike of solidarity is held to remind us of the hardships and torture that political prisoners are subjected to. These people are prisoners in our fight against the criminal regime. Write them letters and express your support, make donations to help their families, for packages and lawyers for them.
We are glad that we were able to help with the organization of the recording and broadcast. The schedule of our events is on the website
