No dia 15 de março, teve lugar o maior protesto na história da Sérvia. Trata-se da continuação dos protestos anti-corrupção que começaram depois de 15 pessoas terem morrido quando se desmoronou a cobertura de uma estação ferroviária, inaugurada por Vucic em 2022. A BBC, citando um observador independente, refere 325.000 participantes. Isto corresponde a cerca de 5 por cento da população da Sérvia.

A 18 de março, a agência noticiosa Associated Press noticiou que a Universidade de Istambul revogou o diploma do Presidente da Câmara de Istambul, Ekrem Imamoglu, alegando irregularidades na sua transferência de uma universidade privada em 1990. Na Turquia, é necessário um diploma para se poder candidatar à presidência.

Em 21 de março, a Deutsche Welle noticiou que as autoridades turcas tinham proibido a realização de manifestações contra a detenção do Presidente da Câmara de Istambul. Imamoglu foi detido antes de ser anunciado como candidato da oposição às eleições presidenciais.

No dia 21 de março, o publicitário e dissidente Alexander Skobov, que tinha sido perseguido pelas autoridades ainda na União Soviética, foi condenado a 16 anos de prisão pelas suas publicações nas redes sociais. No seu último discurso, Skobov apelou à Europa para que recordasse as origens do atual sistema europeu e impedisse a legalização das anexações de Putin. O discurso terminou da seguinte forma: "Aqui acuso eu, acuso a camarilha governamental de Putin, que tresanda a cadáveres, de preparar, desencadear e travar uma guerra de agressão, acuso-a de crimes de guerra na Ucrânia, do terror político na Rússia, de corromper o meu povo". No dia 20 de março, depois de ter sido suspenso da direção do Festival de Animação por instruções superiores, morreu o poeta, argumentista e ator Vadim Zhuk. O seu poema de 29 de abril de 2021 é citado pelo jornal online Kasparov.ru:

This is a continuation of the anti-corruption demonstrations that began after 15 people died when the canopy of the railway station opened by Vučić in 2022 collapsed. On March 18, The Associated Press reported that Istanbul University revoked the diploma of Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, citing alleged violations during his 1990 transfer from a private university. In Türkiye, a degree is required to run for president.

On March 21, publicist and dissident Alexander Skobov, who was persecuted by the Soviet regime decades ago, was sentenced to 16 years in prison for social media posts. In his final statement, he called on Europe not to legitimate annexations and reminded them the Europe's current system. And he ended his speech like this: "Here I accuse, I accuse the Putin ruling clique, stinking of corpses, of preparing, unleashing and waging an aggressive war, of war crimes in Ukraine, of political terror in Russia, of corrupting my people." On March 20, poet, screenwriter and actor Vadim Zhuk died after being removed from hosting the animation festival on orders from above. The online outlet Kasparov.ru quoted his April 29, 2021 poem:

Grigory Melkonyants, co-chairman of the Golos movement for the voters' rights, is in pretrial detention for a year and a half. He is accused of organizing the activities of an undesirable organization. The movement continues raising funds for his legal defence.
