Fevereiro de luto.
No dia 24 de fevereiro, às 6 horas da tarde, voltamos a encontrar-nos no mesmo local, em frente à Embaixada da Rússia, em Lisboa, no quarto aniversário do início da guerra em grande escala na Ucrânia pelo exército russo, por ordem de Putin, que usurpou o poder na Rússia. A guerra está a destruir a população tanto da Ucrânia como da Rússia; milhões de pessoas perderam as suas casas e foram obrigadas a fugir. Devido aos bombardeamentos de infraestruturas, as pessoas na Ucrânia estão a morrer de frio nas suas casas. Queremos, uma vez mais, manifestar a nossa oposição à decisão das autoridades russas de travar uma guerra na Ucrânia, dizer que não reconhecemos esse poder como legítimo nem como atuando no interesse dos russos, e exigir a demissão das autoridades e a retirada das tropas do território ucraniano, incluindo a Crimeia.
A February of mourning.
On February 24 at 6:00 PM, we met in the same place, in front of the Russian Embassy in Lisbon, on the fourth anniversary of the Russian army, on Putin’s orders—Putin, who usurped power in Russia—launching a full-scale war in Ukraine. The war is devastating the populations of both Ukraine and Russia; millions have lost their homes and have been forced to flee. Due to the shelling of infrastructure, people in Ukraine are freezing to death in their homes. Once again, we want to speak out against the Russian authorities’ decision to wage war in Ukraine, to declare that we do not recognize this government as legitimate or acting in the interests of the Russian people, and to demand the resignation of the authorities and the withdrawal of troops from Ukrainian territory, including Crimea.
