On March 7, Deutsche Welle reported that Latvian security services had barred Alexander Polupan, a resuscitation specialist who helped save Navalny after he was poisoned with Novichok, from working at a state hospital. He has revalidated his medical license and learned Latvian to a C1 level. There are no jobs for resuscitation specialists in private clinics. He is desperately awaiting a response from another hospital and has already begun learning German.
