16 апреля сайт о Linux, драйверах и железе "Phoronix" сообщил, что в Linux 7.1 начали удалять драйверы процессоров Baikal, потому что их некому поддерживать, железо редкое, а проект поддержки этих процессоров остался недоделанным.

On April 16, the Linux, driver, and hardware website "Phoronix" reported that drivers for Baikal processors started being removed from Linux 7.1 because it is not longer maintained, the hardware is rare, and the upstreaming for these processors is not going to be finalized.

The first engineering sample of the Baikal-T1 was shown in May 2015. It was a dual-core processor manufactured at a TSMC plant in Taiwan. An RBC source estimated the investment at up to 1.5 billion rubles.
